Home

Welcome to our website!  I am honored to invite you to join our daycare program filled with fun and happy days.
As a mother of four children, ages 10, 8, 7, and 5, it is my desire to give your child quality care in a home environment.  I hold an Associate of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education and I am pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education.  I am certified in CPR/ First Aid, and have experience in working with mentally challenged and autistic individuals.
Our family: Renee', Damon, Matthew, Mary-Kathryn, Gabriel (Not pictured-Hailey Bowers)

DISCIPLINE:  Our discipline policy is based on Christian goals and character qualities.  I intend to guide children while encouraging them to make wise choices, to teach them how to control their own behavior, to help them understand the needs of others, and to become independent, responsible, caring members of our daycare community.
I use several sources of references for guidance of young children.  Parents are encouraged to read and give feedback on the material that I use in my program.  The reading list is available upon request.
How will I ACT with your child?  With my ACTionS,  I will Acknowledge feelings, Communicate limits, Teach appropriate responses,  and State the final boundary to your child.

Federal law requires that I report to authorized agencies if I have any reason to believe that a child is being or has been abused.  I have received special training on recognizing abuse and neglect.  You will find more information about state policies in my handbook upon registering your child for daycare services.

Research shows that children learn best in an environment where there is plenty of free choice play activities available.  I provide many hands on activities for indoor and outdoor play.  Each child is unique, and therefore, I will develop a schedule of enrichment activities based on the individual needs of your child.  I encourage each parent to participate in helping to develop the schedule of activities for your child.

Some of the indoor activities available to your child include center activities such as the art center, block center, kitchen center, dramatic play center, music center, literacy center, science center, math/manipulative center, and computer center.
For outdoor activities we have a swing set, multi- activity set, several tiny tot sets, see saw, merry go round, play houses, and a variety of toddler scooters, balls, and gross motor skill manipulatives.

Our family can't wait to meet yours.  May God Bless You!  Please call (337) 942-6079 to schedule an interview.

You may e-mail me with any questions to info@happydayschristianchildcare.  I welcome all comments and your insights as to how we might improve our services.
